President William ruto together with the first lady I have already landed in bomet where they are expected to preside over a Thanksgiving event that brings together several top-ranking politicians drawn from the region. This will be their first visit to the area since ushering in the new year in Mombasa after the 2022 general election.
Ruto's tour of his backyard coming just a few hours after he stormed raila's backyard of nyanza where he received a heroic reception and held several development rallies which included the launch of key projects that were initially initiated by the past regime led by Uhuru kenyatta.
Today's meeting is seen by many as a Thanksgiving event for the locals who turned up in large numbers to exercise their democratic right in the just-concluded polls where the head of state President William ruto garnered a sizeable number of votes to propel him to become the next commander in chief of the defence forces of the Republic of Kenya.
Several top-ranking politicians are expected to throng the event including former members of Parliament and governors Who lost in the just-concluded polls and are still in touch with the Kenya qwaser administration which is being led by president ruto.
The president is later an expected to address a rally at the area as he seeks to highlight his development agenda for the locals who are running for change after ushering in a new dispensation after the outgoing president Uhuru kenyatta fell out with his deputy William ruto.
The leadership of Rift Valley is optimistic that the head of state will fulfill his pledge that he made during the polls when he was traversing the greater county of bomet and other Counties to seek for support and votes from the locals.
