National Alliance Rainbow Coalition (NARC Kenya) Party Leader Martha Karua has revealed the only way president Uhuru Kenyatta can start a popular initiative while in power. Martha Karua was speaking at KTN News on Wednesday evening. Karua stated that President Uhuru Kenyatta can start a popular initiative as a private citizen where he will not use public resources and machinery.
"Popular initiative is reserved for the citizens not for those in authority and that's was one of the problem the bench had. The executive was actually taking the window reserved for the citizens away. He can't be with the president and a regular citizens, if he wants to do it as a its a private he can initiate the initiative without using Government machineries and can only seek friends network for resources to drive his constitutional amendments process," Revealed the NARC Kenya Party Leader.
The process was wrong, and I cannot talk anything about a document, its a poisoned glass of milk so we had nothing to do with it. It would have to be right first then I would look for what is right in it. The bill was so wrong, from undermining the freedom of the judiciary to duplicating roles. The report was a bait but full of many wrong things," said Martha Karua
