Mama Rachel Ruto on Wednesday 20th October joined President Uhuru Kenyatta, First Lady Margaret Kenyatta, President Lazarus Chakwera of Malawi, Kenyans and other distinguished leaders at Wang'uru Stadium Mwea, Kirinyaga County for this year's Mashujaa Day national celebrations.
Mama Rachel accompanied Deputy President William Ruto to the function that was led by President Uhuru Kenyatta and hosted by Governor Anne Waiguru.
The Second lady has broken her silence after accompanying DP Ruto to the Mashujaa Celebration that took place in Mount Kenya.
In her remarks, Mama Rachel has statement has said that fallen heroes became iconic through their devoted patriotism and dedication and laid a foundation for the country with great sacrifice, thus the country has been able to grow.
"Through their devoted patriotism and dedication, fallen heroes became iconic and shujaas, and the foundation they laid with great sacrifice has allowed our country to prosper and grow in the future," Mama Rachel Ruto said.
