Julie Soweto Drags Raila Into Kidero's Battle as she States How Wanga Used Raila's Name to Force Win

Controversial lawyer Julie Soweto who was one of the lawyers that represented Azimio presidential candidate Raila Odinga in the supreme Court presidential election petition is now representing former Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero in his quest to squash Gladys Wanga's win in Homa Bay Gubernatorial race.

One of the evidences Mrs Soweto is mounting up against Wanga's win is the purported use of Raila's name to influence the minds of the voters. According to Soweto, Mrs Wanga used Raila's name to 'force' voters vote for her.

"The question here is whether Mr Odinga's name was used to influence the voting. Yes, it is true that the minds of voters were intoxicated using the name," Soweto told the court. Soweto and her legal team have filed an affidavit written by Mr Okinyi Rao detailing how Raila has allegedly influenced every grassroots poll in the region.

I'm response, Wanga defended herself stating that she could not avoid using Raila's name since he is her party leader. Wanga wants Kidero's lawyer to remove Raila's name in their arguments as it would force Raila to appear before court.

Soweto and her team wants all the voting materials re-inspected . They are pushing for a recount.
