Rigathi Gachagua has shocked many after claiming that Mt Kenya region is not eyeing for the position of the deputy president despite being linked with the positions for quite sometimes. Speaking in an interview with Tv47 Rigathi alleged that Mt Kenya people are still suffering despite having the president for 10 years.Gachagua's claims comes after Mt Kenya leaders have already revealed that Martha Karua should leader the region in various key decision. Again the issue of deputy president coming from the region has been addressed and Gatundu South member of parliament Hon Moses Kuria was quoted claiming that the position of the deputy president is not negotiable and should be reserved for Mt Kenya.
However Rigathi Gachagua has a contrary opinion and hold a firm stand that having a leader from your region doesn't guarantee you developments projects and that Mt Kenya should not be thirst of the position of deputy president.
