Evans Kidero is a Kenyan politician from Homa Bay County in the Lake Side region of Kenya. He is the former first Governor for Nairobi County having served from 2013 to 2017 before being defeated by Mike Mbuvi Sonko. Dr. Evans Kidero was appointed by president William Samoei Arap Ruto to be the Chief Administrative Secretary in his Kenya Kwanza Alliance government after he ditched Hon Raila Amolo Odinga and joined him.
But eyebrows have been raised after CAS nominee Evans Kidero decided to do the following. According to KBC Channel One Kenya, Dr Evans Kidero is seeking the intervention of the Chief Justice Martha Koome to have a graft case against him concluded. This shows a bad picture to Kenyans given that anybody with graft cases always run to the government for appointment and later sought their cases to be dropped.
