The next general election is expected to conducted on date 9th August 2022 where new government is set to be established.
The IEBC had already announced that it is ready for the next general election come 2022 and they are currently on process to set everything right .
Some of the leaders ,among them being secretary general for COTU , Francis Atwoli has been on Frontline on the matter of postponing the next election ,his reason being to give time for the referendum to be conducted.
However ,apart from Atwoli view Kioni has prepare to petition high court to give time for the IEBC to give time for boundary review according to The star newspaper.

This process will be a major blow to the deputy president who is on the Frontline opposing the the postponing the next election as he is focused on his presidential ambition.
