Senator Cheruiyot Leaves Kenyans Tongues Wagging, Reveals How Atwoli Could be Short-changed in The BBI

Kericho county senator Hon Aaron Cheryiout has today left Kenyans jittery as he Reveals how the Government has used the Building Bridges Initiative report to short change COTU Boss Francis Atwoli.

Speaking through his official Twitter account, the outspoken Ruto's Ally has claimed that the BBI document has stripped Francis Atwoli of his powers including the Normination of representatives to the Salary and Remuneration Commission. According to Hon Cheruiyot, the BBI bill has proposed that COTU, which is an independent body, shall no longer Nominate 7 members to represent the body in the Salary and Remuneration Commission, however, the nomination shall be done by the president.

"Has anyone bothered to inform Mzee @AtwoliDza that his beloved BBI takes away COTU's power to nominate a Rep to SRC? Workers will never have a say in it. In BBI (Art 61), the president will nominate 7 commissioners to SRC. Total mutilation of an independent commission"Hon Cheruiyot Has claimed. Cheruiyot's statement has attracted backlash from Kenyans who have reacted as follows.
