Why Ruto Failed to Attend a Planned Kenya Kwanza Rally in Bondoni Area Today Revealed (Video)

The reason why Deputy President William Ruto missed a Kenya Kwanza campaign rally in Bondoni, Machakos County today is nolonger a secret as the reason was explained by his Running Mate Rigathi Gachagua.

The Kenya Kwanza team had planned to begin their Friday tour with an Economic Forum meeting in Embu before heading to Ukambani for a series of rallies, Bondoni area being one of the planned areas to be visited by the Kenya Kwanza team.

However, only the UDA Deputy President designate Rigathi Gachagua, Machakos County Governor Alfred Mutua and a few leaders attended the Bondoni rally.

Speaking to the Bondoni crowd, Gachagua conveyed Ruto's apology failing to attend yet the supporters had expectations of seeing him.

He explained that Ruto missing the rally was because their meeting in Embu took more time how they expected. Gachagua told the crowd that because they had planned three more meetings in the Ukambani region, they had to split so as to attend all the rallies, with him attending the Bondoni meeting as Ruto went to another rally.

"Alitamani kuja hapa lakini tumechelewa kwa mkutano ingine tulikuwa nayo Embu (He(Ruto) wanted to come but we delayed in another meeting in Embu)," Gachagua told the crowd.

He said that Ruto had sent him to convey his greetings, adding that the DP gas promised that he will find another time to visit the area.

"Amenituma na salamu zake, mmepokea? Atapanga akuje yeye mwenyewe siku ingine (He has sent me with his greetings, have you accepted? He will plan to come himself another day)," Gachagua told the crowd.
