Huge Win For Azimio And IEBC Top Officer Who Was Fired After Court Ruled in Their Favor

Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission deputy CEO Ruth Kulundu has breathed a sigh of relief after the High Court of Kenya barred his boss Hussein Marjan from interdicting her.

According to a ruling that was issued on Friday, the High court of Kenya directed that the underfire deputy CEO be allowed to continue performing her duties until when her case is heard and determined.

Ruth Kulundu was under intense fire after she was interdicted by IEBC CEO Hussein Marjan for allegedly working with the four IEBC commissioners led by Juliana Cherera in the Presidential election petition.

Her interdiction caused a stir, especially in the Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya Alliance coalition which demanded that she should be reinstated to her position immediately.

A section of Azimio la Umoja allied politicians also matched to the IEBC headquarters at the Anniversary Towers while protesting her interdiction where they were also dispersed by police officers protesting.

All attention will now focus on Ruth Kulundu to see whether she will survive her miseries in the coming weeks when her case will be fully listened to and determined by the High Court of Kenya.
