Angry Governors "Chase Away" Ruto's Aide During Devolution Conference

There were chaotic scenes in Wote, Makueni County on Friday when Governors blocked Deputy President William Ruto's aide from addressing them during the just concluded Devolution Conference.

The DP who was expected to officially preside over the closing ceremony, had opted to skip the event and headed to Nyandarua county for a series of political activities. Instead, he sent his chief of staff Ken Osinde to represent him.

But in Makueni, Osinde was turned down by the county chiefs who insisted that the function was a very serious event " which cannot just be addressed by anybody".

As reported by K24 Digital, Osinde was even denied the chance to enter the venue of the conference and Governors flatly rejected even his presence.

Accordingly, Osinde, Kenya's former Ambassador to Germany, was even denied an opportunity to plant a tree on behalf of the country's number two. As a result, the hole remained hollow with a tree seedling next to it.
