Just 39 days before the next general election, political heavyweights and fans of the Kenya Kwanza Alliance are celebrating Deputy President William Ruto's manifesto launch.

The event, which will take place at Kasarani Stadium, will be conducted just a few weeks after Raila Odinga and Martha Karua, the vice presidential candidates for the Azimio la Umoja party, unveiled their platform at a vibrant ceremony hosted at Nyayo Stadium.

However, Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu has warned Kenyans "not to fall into the DP's cheap lies" ahead of the Kenya Kwanza Alliance manifesto launch.

In response to the DP's Wednesday promise that all Kenyans will be able to call and access the internet for free once he becomes office following the general election on August 9, Ngilu stated that Kenyans should be wary of Ruto's "lies" which are accompanied by zero outcomes.

The DP has recently come under fire for his lofty promises, both in the past and in the present, with many Kenyans accusing him of pledging things that he cannot keep.

Many users of social media have quickly prompted him to remember the promises he made in 2013
