Kiambu MCAs Come Out to Clear the Air Whether They Attended Raila Odinga's Azimio Rally in Thika

The constitution of Kenya states that every ward should have a member of county assembly (MCA) to represent the people at the county affairs.

Last Saturday, Azimio la Umoja movement leader Raila Odinga toured Kiambu county to launch his presidential campaign at Thika stadium. Odinga was welcomed by Kiambu governor James Nyoro and other top government lawmakers.

Allegations have been circulating across the social media platforms that no MCAs and MPs from Kiambu county attended Odinga's big event.

MCAs from the region have come out to clear the air stating that over 60 MCAs and MPs attended the Azimio meeting.

Led by Limuru East MCA Hon. Karuga Ngige and Emma Wanjiku deputy majority leader, have saidthat atleast 60 MCAs and several MPs attended the rally.

In conclusion, they have accused the people spreading the allegations saying that they are doing so to tarnish the reputation of governor James Nyoro who has declared to support Raila Odinga presidential bid.
