This week on Monday, the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati declared Deputy President William as the president elect after garnering 50.49% of the votes. However the azimio la Umoja presidential candidate hon Raila Odinga has said that he will challenge the results in supreme court.
As Ruto is preparing to resume office, yesterday he conducted the first meeting with all leaders elected under Kenya kwanza coalition. After the meeting, Ruto welcomed many elected leaders from Azimio after they defected. Among those who defected included, UDM chairman Ali Roba and other seven MPs.
This night we have just received news that another Azimio elected member of parliament from Rift valley has joined Kenya kwanza. According to the source, K24 TV, Tiaty Member of parliament William Kamket has ditched Azimio la Umoja to Kenya Kwanza.
Kamket has said, "William Ruto is my friend, being a Kalenjin like me, I will not join a team of people who want to see my brother down. We may differ on other things but I must protect his success with all my body organs. I am not doing so because I want favor from his government but because he won fairly. A Man who doesn't want to see your brother succeeding, will also be jealous of you success when you succeed. 'Bwana rais twanga kazi ndugu'. I am a phone call away, reach me whenever you need me, I am ready to work with you".
