As the battle for speaker position escalates between Azimio- One Kenya team and President elect William Ruto Kenya Kwanza wing, Wiper Democratic Movements party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has officially quit race to become Speaker in 13th parliament, third in command position in Government.

News hitting the airwaves this morning, the Wiper Democratic Movements leader was forced to bow out of the race after Wiper Executive Council told him the defeat will be humiliating.

The race to National Assembly speaker pulled interest of 17 Members of the House. Among the participants is Bungoma Senator elect Moses Wetangula who is fronted by Kenya Kwanza team.
Following his quit, Azimio- One Kenya coalition now front veteran politicians Kenneth Marende to battle it out against Ford Kenya party leader Moses Wetangula.
