'We Don't Have a President-elect' Mutua Responds to William Ruto's Victory

Azimio One Kenya ally Makau Mutua says that they can't recognize William Ruto as the president-elect experiencing confidence that the Supreme Court will overturn IEBC results.

He alleges that Dr Ruto's victory was not legal and that Wafula Chebukati move to declare the UDA leader as the winner was invalid.

" As far as we are concerned there is no valid or legally declared winner of the election. There is no president-elect, perish that thought. We do not recognise that at all," Makau said.

Mutua claimed that Chebukati is not in a position make decisions without the input of all the IEBC commissioners.

ODM leader Raila Odinga was dissatisfied with how IEBC conducted it's role promising to challenge Ruto's win in the court.

Azimio have organized a team of lawyers to overturn Chebukati's presidential results. Some of the lawyers were at the centre of the 2017 case in which the Supreme Court nullified the election of President Uhuru Kenyatta.
