Former President Hon. Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta today suffered another setback as he receives sad news on his most expensive project. This comes after President William Samoei Ruto put on hold his most expensive road project. The Mau Summit Super Highway was to run from Nairobi to Mau regions via Nakuru. The 233 kilometres road was regarded as the most expensive project former President Uhuru initiated. The road was to cost Sh160 billions.
However, the President has put on hold this project without giving any reason as to why he is yet to approve. The Mau Summit Highway's construction was to kick off early September 2022. However, the current president is reluctant to initiate the process of grounds breaking.
The road which was to be constructed by three French companies received funding from African Development Bank and the World Bank. This also comes a day after President William Samoei Ruto made plans to revert police blue uniforms back to Khaki uniforms. The blue police uniforms project was started by the former president Uhuru's regime amidst complains from Ruto who was the Deputy President by then.
