As the clock ticks towards next year's general election, all eyes are on mount Kenya region which isn't keen on producing a serious Candidate.
The foremost presidential Contenders are busy crisscrossing the region with a view to convincing the minds and hearts of the over 8 million voters.
Most leaders from the region who were elected on Jubilee ticket are with the DP William Ruto's UDA party.
However, there are others who are still in the the valley of decision waiting for the opportune moment.
Such is the case with kirinyaga governor Ann Waiguru. Speaking to Citizen TV on Tuesday evening, waiguru said that she is still introspecting and at the right time, she will disclose which party she will use in defending her seat.
Waiguru continued to say that she doesn't expect president Uhuru kenyatta to dictate on which presidential candidate mount kenya should Support saying that he is a democrat who will allow people to choose.

The first term governor however had a difficult time responding to a question on whose ideology between Ruto and Raila she subscribes.
While responding, she said that parties in Kenya have similar ideologies and therefore the leaders too don't differ much in ideologies.
When pressed further, she said that at the right time she will make a decision on who to support and at that juncture she will give reasons for her decision.
"In this country, our political ideologies are more or less the same. Perhaps the approach is what is different…When the time comes, I will make it clear why I align to a given presidential candidate. I a month or so, you will know my stand", said waiguru.
Waiguru however admitted that Ruto's UDA Party is the most popular party in central and kirinyaga.
However, she will have to battle it out with kirinyaga women representative Purity ngirici in party nominations in case she joins UDA.
