The government has announced three crucial things Kenyans must satisfy in order to be registered as voters in the forthcoming 2022 general elections.
Government spokesperson Cyrus Oguna has articulated that kenyans in need of exercising their Democratic right of electing their leaders of choice in the 2022 general elections must be 18 years of age and above, must be in possession of an original National Identify Card or a valid Kenyan Passport and must present themselves to a voter registration official for biometric data capturing in order to be registered as voters.
He further urged kenyans who are yet to be registered as voters to act with speed and do so before elapse of the instituted grace period, ie, before February 6th, 2022.
"You have between today and 6th February 2022 to register as a voter. You will need; your original National ID or a valid Kenyan Passport, be 18 years of age and above and present yourself to a voter registration official for biometric data capturing," Cyrus Oguna stated.
