The newly elected Meru governor Kawira Mwangza is a woman in deep trouble. First, it was her county's members of County Assembly (MCAs) who threatened to oust her barely two months into her reign as Meru Governor.
A motion has already been filed in the Meru County Assembly and 68 out of 69 MCAs passed the motion tabled by Abogeta West Ward MCA Denis Kiogora seeking her removal from office.
She is being accused of nepotism and abuse of office but the impeachment motion might not work after she moved to court to challenge her impending ouster.

However, Kawira has more to be fearful of if events from Meru on Sunday are anything to go by. Residents from her home county were filmed chanting 'Mwangaza must go' in what is the newest development in the troubles of the embattled Kawira.
To make matters worse, the event was being staged at the County Assembly premises and was aimed at getting public participation in regards to her impeachment motion.
Here is the video of the Meru public chanting against their newly elected governor.
