Big Blow To Kenya Kwanza As Over 150 Officials From ANC Join Azimio

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission has already given the go-ahead to four presidential candidates to run in the widely anticipated general elections on August 9 with roughly 42 days to spare.

The four are: Raila Amolo Odinga of the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition Political Party, David Mwaure Waihiga of the Agano Party, William Samoei Ruto of the United Democratic Alliance Party and George Wajackoyah of the Roots Party.

Regarding this impending combat Ruto and Raila are seen as the hardest and most formidable competitors among the four.

On Tuesday more than 150 ANC Party officials and more than 30 UDA party grassroots activists from the North Rift region of the Rift Valley defected to the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition Political party led by Raila Odinga, in what can be considered a political blow to Deputy President William Samoei Ruto.

At the Azimio Center in Eldoret the defectors were formally welcomed by Dr. Sally Kosgei the movement's regional campaign director Alex Tolgos the county executive of Elegeyo-Marakwet and Kipkorir Menjo an ODM party official.

This most recent revelation is undoubtedly a political blow to Ruto's presidential campaign particularly in his home region of North Rift.
