Azimio la Umoja coalition hasn't been stable in terms of unity and strategies for the upcoming 2027 general elections. The leader of azimio has been facing tough times after his close allies and elected leaders dumped him for the government of William Ruto. The rebellion stems from the struggle for the 2027 elections with Kalonzo and Karua eying to dethrone Raila from being the presidential candidate.
The daily nation newspaper today is reporting the incident where Kalonzo Musyoka is reportedly sending indirect missiles to Raila's ODM as he tells him to retire from politics. Kalonzo's ally Dan Maanzo has told off the former Prime Minister to stop the urge for the presidency. This comes after Raila Odinga was interviewed when he hinted at vying for the 6th time come 2027.
"Kalonzo Musyoka has supported the former PM 3 consecutive Times. We are telling them it is high time they should consider supporting our son. Raila is old and he should retire." Kalonzo's close confidant allegedly said.
