Martha Karua: Why I Don't Refer To Raila As Baba

While formally announcing her next move with the NARC Kenya party ahead of the 2022 polls an elated Martha Karua stated, that she would support the candidature of Rt Hon Raila in the presidential race. Karua, who had insisted that she would speak after considering both sides politically, agreed to join Azimio.

However, just as she started her speech Karua gave a recognition of their historical moments with Raila, saying that they had been together in the long struggle for liberation of the nation and as such, she would fondly refer to Raila in a different way other than the usual 'Baba' his supporters use.

Karua termed Hon Raila as a 'comrade' whom alongside other leaders, remained committed to ensuring the country progressed forward in the right trajectory, and for that reason Martha Karua continued to refer to Raila as 'comrade' throughout her speech as she went ahead and elaborated much on their talks.

Hon Karua and Raila exchanged hats before a photo session was organized to celebrate the beginning of the journey walking together. The two leaders pledged to work together to start what they now referred to as the 3rd liberation of Kenya. According to your honest opinion, a union of Raila and Karua in Azimio along-side other leaders, can they win?
