She is the current governor of Kirinyaga county and on top of that, she is the chairperson of the council of governors making her to be one of the high profile leaders in the country.
Now, today in the evening, hon Anne Waiguru is said to have given the president of Kenya, Dr William Samoe Ruto an ultimatum of 3 days. As reported by the Kenyans.co.ke, hon Waiguru has ordered the president to release shs 57B to governors. According to Waiguru, the 57B was supposed to be released on august and september but that was not done. This has made it difficult for governors to discharge their duties. "On Thursday, October 6, Anne Waiguru, the chair, decried the delay in the disbursement noting that they have been compelled to halt development projects and response activities in the counties due to insufficient funds. The governors, as such demanded the disbursement of the funds before Monday, October 10." Said the reports.
