Despite the fact that Rift valley region is considered as Deputy President William Ruto political Strong hold, There are many small parties which have decided that they will challenge UDA in some positions hence Scattering votes.
As it approaches 2022 general election, political alignments is taking new shape as majority of communities are forming their own parties which will negotiate for their interests.
The following are newly formed political vehicles in the region; Movement United for Super Action (MUSA) Party of Kenya which was launched a few months ago in Nakuru, the Ubuntu People’s Forum (UPF) associated with Nakuru Governor Lee Kinyanjui and the Kenya United Party (KUP) headed by West Pokot Governor John Lonyangapuo.
Since it has not yet been revealed whether they will form one coalition or not, It will be hard for the Dp to unite majority of them hence consolidating votes will be a difficult task. Thanks for always supporting me by reading and liking my articles.
