The politics in Kilifi county took a new twist when the incumbent Governor Amason Kingi decided to ditch the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Movement and join Deputy President Dr William Samoei Arap Ruto's Kenya Kwanza Alliance. The differences between Malindi Constituency Member of Parliament Hon Aisha Jumwa and incumbent Governor Amason Kingi has since turned nasty. The two leaders are fighting to show who should be in charge of Kenya Kwanza Alliance in the region.
There was dramatic scenes in Kilifi county today when both Hon Aisha Jumwa a d Kilifi county incumbent Governor Amason Kingi clashed in presence of DP William Ruto. The two vocal Coastal region leaders lost their tempers as they call each other and their followers dogs. They embarrassed each other in front of their supporters as the supremacy battle played out on the stage. Hon Aisha Jumwa is vying for the Kilifi county gubernatorial seat through the United Democratic Alliance party ticket in the fourth coming general elections to be held in August this year.
