A report by The Nation indicates that the head of state will preside over the crucial national prayers breakfast that had been postponed last year due to the Covid-19 pandemic at parliament buildings. The coordinator of the event - Dr Morompi Ole Ronkei confirmed that the national prayer breakfast will be hosted by the speaker of the National assembly Justin Muturi and his senate counterpart Kenneth Lusaka.
"We're happy that we shall be able to hold the event. We are however saddened by the death of the event's co-chair, Paul Koinange who succumbed to Covid-19 complications in March this year," he said.
The crucial event is expected to be aired by all local television stations and parliament Facebook pages among other avenues. Those in attendance are expected to be 100 people with others following proceedings virtually.
