The race for the presidential seat has already taken another pace after all the aspirants named their running mates by 16th May 2022. Today, Azimio ally and blogger Robert Alai who has millions of followers across various social media platforms conducted a poll on his Twitter just a day after Azimio flag bearer unveiled his Deputy after DP Ruto announced Rigathi as running mate.

According to the poll results which was released at 9:00 pm through his account, a total of 35,283 netizens submitted their opinion vote on the presidential combinations they would elect if election was to be held today. Ruto-Rigathi presidential ticket won with 51% while Raila - Karua ticket followed closely with 49%. A winning margin of 2 % of the total votes cast.

This implies that if indeed the results from this poll is limited to biasness and reflects the actual distribution of voters, Raila is closing the gap which has been there before Karua was named Deputy.
