Members of the National Assembly Public Investment Committee have expressed their fury and dissatisfaction after the Jubilee Vice Chairperson failed to appear before it despite summons.
Murathe only filed an affidavit before committee detailing the answers he had to the questions raised.
Murathe who enjoys a close relationship with president Uhuru Kenyatta has been linked to Kilig limited that was awarded Ksh. 4B contract. In his defence, Murathe says he was only a guarantor for Kilig Limited and he has never been a director to the company.
MPs have maintained that it is very necessary that he appears before the committee to provide comprehensive answers as to how the contract which was earlier on cancelled was revived.
According to the available documents, Murathe was listed as a mandatory signatory in the company's bank accounts.
