The Kenya Kwanza, especially UDA continues to win big in most parts of the Mt. Kenya region. They have most of their candidates leading in most of the opinion polls released online.
In Embu county, the latest Gubernatorial ranking by Mizani Africa shows that UDA's MP Cecily Mbarire is supported by more than half of Embu's respondents thereby commanding a significant lead with 53.4%. Devolution Empowerment Party Chairman Lenny Kivuti comes second place with 38%.
Jubilee Party candidate, Emiliano Kathuri is third with only 5.4%. 2.2% says they are undecided and 1.0% goes to others.
In Nyeri county, if elections were held today, UDA's incumbent governor Mutahi Kahiga would be the next Nyeri governor leading with 49.5%. Jubilee's candidate, Ephraim Maina comes second place with 33.7%. independent candidate, Gachara Kamanga is third with 9.0%.
The New Democratic Party candidate, Thuo Mathenge comes forth with 3.0%. Economist Peter Munyiri of Chama Cha Kazi Party is last with only 2.0%. Further, 1.9% are undecided and 0.9% goes to others.
In Mombasa county, Wiper's Mike Mbuvi Sonko is taking the gubernatorial race by storm. In the latest poll, he is the most popular candidate commanding the lead with 34.6% and has overtaken ODM's Abdulswamad Nassir who has been reigning in the previous polls currently with 27.1% at second place.
UDA's Hassan Omar is following very closely at third place with 26.3%. 11.7% are undecided while 0.3% goes to others.
