Ngunjiri Wambugu Former MP For Nyeri Town Clear Air On Calls For Raila To Retire

On November 11, Ngunjiri Wambugu a former representative for Nyeri Town denied reports that he had asked Raila Odinga the head of the Azimio-one Kenya coalition to step down.

Wambugu clarified that the message Twitter account was a false one created to spoof him.

Additionally, the bogus statement implied that Raila was incorrect to support his daughter Winnie Odinga candidacy for the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA).

The outspoken politician who lost his seat in the 2022 elections responded to the false narrative by emphasizing that he was occupied in Nyeri and focused on his work.

These guys must quit creating these phony accounts. Without assistance I always speak my mind when I have anything to say. In Nyeri Town I'm currently selling tea and mandazi. Politics can wait he said.

He was alluding to the public opening of his brand-new hotel in Nyeri on November 1.

Odinga, 77 has been challenged by several leaders to leave elective politics after his failed run for the presidency.

For instance Tana River Senator Danson Mungatana noted that people who sought to win power by riding on Raila name had used Raila throughout the years.

He asserted that people who supported Raila candidacy did so in order for them to win their seats.
