The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party leader deputy president William Ruto today took his Bottom Up Economic Model to Laikipia county where he received a warm reception from the region. DP Ruto was accompanied by several leaders from Mt. Kenya region ready to campaign for him ahead of 2022 general elections.
While addressing Laikipia people, DP Ruto urged them that they must eliminate conflicts over resources such as water and pasture. This means investing in pastoralist areas to ensure sufficient water for livestock. Ruto added that people must also provide farmers with subsidised farm inputs to produce enough food to sustain themselves and make profit. At this point, DP Ruto was heckled and he was forced to loss his temper against them.
On the other hand, Kenyans on social media reacted to DP Ruto claiming that his name is betraying him so much as it sound somehow tribalism with the kind of words he matters to people. Also his allies led by Mains Njenga are rubbishing Raila Odinga's campaigns with some tribalism in it. Below are their reactions;
