Former President Mwai Kibaki is time and again considered to be the best President that Kenya has ever had. However, it was not a walk in the path for President Kibaki. This is seconded by the fact the politics is a dirty game whereby even at times, you might end up losing your loved one's

A good example was when Kibaki's father was killed at the time Kibaki was being appointed as Vice President to deputize the late president Daniel Arap Moi. It is first good to note that during the reign of President Mzee Jomo Kenyatta, Mwai Kibaki was the Cabinet Minister for Finance. After the death of Mzee in 1978, Daniel Moi became the President thus handpicked Mwai Kibaki to he his Vice President

Despite his position as the second in command, Mwai Kibaki lost his beloved father,Kibaki Githinji in a very brutal manner. This was after he was chopped several times by his farm hand who was identified as Jacob Nyaga Maina back at his humble home in Nyeri. According to several publications,the family of Kibaki trusted Mr Nyaga and they couldn't suspect he could ever think of doing such an act.

Jacob was later arraigned in court whereby he was sentenced for life at Kamiti Maximum Prison. However in previous interviews, the family of Jacob Nyaga Maina has time and again confessed that they are not sure if their son is still alive or dead
