Lamu Senator Anwar on the run After a Bar Brawl Leaves a Woman With Gunshot wound

No long ago, Lamu Senator Anwar Loitiptip was reported for assaulting Francis Mugo. He ais reportedly missing after a club incident. It is reportedly that the senator went missing after a brawl in a bar at Kanu Grounds in Nyanyuki town, Laikipia County. The brawl left a 32-year-old woman nursing some gunshot wounds.

Anwar was involved in a heated argument with a woman by the name Joy Makena before gunshot were heard in the air. A police report indicated that lady known as Makena was shot on her right leg, above the ankle. The police said that they were tipped off by some members of the public who reported that there was a shooting in the bar at 2am on Saturday, October 23. On arrival, the men in blue recovered a fire arm that had 13 bullets belonging to Senator Anwar’s security detail. "Scene was processed and two spent catridges of 9mm recovered. Firearm body no.C987345 make CZ with 13 rounds of ammunition recovered." Makena was rushed to the Nanyuki Teaching and Referral Hospital where she is receiving treatment. Doctors say that she is in a stable condition and the bullet wound is not severe.

Not long ago, Anwar was accused of assaulting a political aspirant affiliated with the United Democratic Alliance party at the Manda Airport Jetty. Anwar was accused of breaking the UDA aspirant's glasses, snatched his mobile phone and trying to throw him into the Indian Ocean, minutes after Deputy President William Ruto left the county.
