The first in command, his Excellency Honorable Uhuru Kenyatta is currently outside the country for some days now. He is in the United States of America for state duties. According to the Nation, President Uhuru is expected to chair United Nation security Council High level open debate on diversity, state building and peace.
Having assumed her position as a non-permanent member of the UN-security Council on first January this year for a two year period, Kenya as a country now holds a monthly rotational presidency of the Council for October 2021.
According to Martin Kimani who is Kenya's permanent representative at the UN, there main agenda at the Council is to offer ideas and solutions to global peace and security in areas such as horn of Africa and the troubled Sahel region.
"Kenya is suggesting new innovations on how to approach particular conflict situation," Mr Kimani said.
