The KANU chairman and also the former Baringo County senator, Mr. Gideon Moi, the son of the former president the late Mr. Daniel Moi, is likely to ditch Azimio coalition where he is among the principals of Azimio coalition to Kenya Kwanza Alliance (KKA), the Alliance which won the election in the previous general elections that's on August 9, poll.
The former senator was trounced by the former Baringo North constituency lawmaker Mr. William Cheptumo of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party ticket, he blocked Mr. Gideon Moi for defending his seat for the third time. The UDA candidate won Baringo County senatorial seat after bagging 141,777 votes while Mr. Gideon Moi also the chairman of KANU scooping over 80,000 votes.
It was like a political gamble Mr. Gideon Moi was making by campaigning against Ruto's loyalist in the region making him to face an uphill task to defend his seat resulting to his political lose. Now for political survival in Rift Valley region where president Ruto enjoys his political support a region which is considered as his backyard it won't be a pass through to Mr. Gideon but just to join Ruto's administration.
