As the general election that will come after draws near, politicians continue to run test campaigns. Both of the rival candidates, Raila Odinga of the Azimio la Umoja one Kenya alliance and William Ruto of the Kenya Kwanza coalition, are anticipated to continue their campaigns.
Mike Mbuvi Sonko, a former governor of Nairobi, has been involved in a legal dispute that has prevented him from running for governor of Mombasa. Yesterday, the court gave him a clean bill of health and ordered the IEBC Commission to certify him as one of the candidates for Mombasa Governor seat.
However, the IEBC Commission today gave Mike mbuvi Sonko the go-ahead to run for the seat. Many citizens of Mombasa have expressed satisfaction since learning that their favored candidate has been approved by the IEBC.
