The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission IEBC had set May 16 as the deadline for all presidential and gubernatorial Candidates to submit names of their running mates. Some aspirants submit names with unveiling their running mates to their supporters.

Mr Natembeya is then expected to unveil his running mate this week on Wednesday 25 May. The ceremony will take place on Kokwo My Elgon lounge in Endebess constituency.
Bineah, an alumnus of Nairobi University, is a professional banker who has served at Barclays Bank, Kitale and Bungoma branches in different periods and in different capacities.
According to her profile, Bineah led the bank's northern rift in Eldorat and played a key role in its exponential growth, with many of her supporters believing she was the right choice for deputy governor.
This comes after Mr Natembeya today received defectors from Kenya kwanza team after Chris Wamalwa failed to pick them as his running mate.
