Kenya's Deputy President Doctor William Ruto is known by most people as a leader who loves goings to church and is close to God. Every Sunday he visits different churches to fellowship with them and support God's work.
In his speech, he reminded people about what he was chosen to do as a deputy president. He hilariously said, "Sikuchaguliwa kuuza ice-cream, nlichaguliwa kutatua shida za wananchi."
He said these words because he was recently adviced to step down and resign from his duties. He declared that he cannot run away from challenges because that way he will be betraying the people who woke up early in the morning to vote for the president and him.
According to him, the jobless youths, small business owners and other citizens have bigger problems than his and he wants to take the responsibility of helping them with solutions.
The DP assured the people of Bahati that he will not be controlled by problems because when he was committing himself to become a leader he knew he would be confronted by problems.
