As the 2022 elections near, leaders who have declared their interest in the country’s top seat have been forced to come up with different strategies in a bid to get Kenyans support.
Latest move by Baringo Senator Gideon Moi announcing that he plans to set up camp in Rift Valley which is known to be Deputy President William Ruto’s backyard has not been received well by a section of Kenyans.
Kenyans told Gideon that he will be humiliated if he thinks he can take on Ruto at his backyard, this after Gideon said that he plans to tour the region and get its people to support him.
Senator Gideon who is not alone expressed his confidence to ‘steal’ Rift Valley from DP Ruto shortly after he together with Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi and Ford Kenya’s Moses Wetangula hinted at forming an alliance.
Kenyans in reaction told Gideon that he is no match for the deputy president and he should concentrate with Baringo since he already has BBI problems there.
“You will suffer embarrassment if you think you can take on William Ruto in his backyard. Baringo imekushinda now you think Rift Valley would be easy,” said Jane Mwangi.
“Deal with your own region first but you suffer another embarrassment in Rift Valley. DP William Ruto will give you a beating,” said Khalif Adan.
“You will be humiliated by Ruto in Rift Valley, You can come the four of you but you still won’t be able to do anything,” said Alex Kipkorir.
“How can someone who cannot manage his backyard manage the entire village?” said MJ Gaitho.
“He should ask Joho about his over confidence in Msambweni,” said Arafa Omar.
“I don’t support Ruto, but Gideon can’t match him, not even an inch,” said Bernard Otachi Zanchez.
