
Mzee Jackson Kibor, a well-known businessman and politician from Uasin Gishu county, has died. He died on Wednesday in an Eldoret hospital where he was receiving treatment. According to his family, the popular Eldoret tycoon known as the "Chairman of the Men's Conference" had been battling an illness for a long time.
Mzee Kibor's family at large confirmed the tragic news, saying he died at St Luke orthopedic hospital while being treated for a prolonged Covid-19 complication. Mzee Kibor was diagnosed with Covid in late 2020 and had been using medical oxygen since then.
According to his family, he had been in the hospital for nearly a week. "His health deteriorated earlier this month after he was diagnosed with kidney failure." "He was on dialysis," his daughter, Loice Kibor, told the Nation.
"It is unfortunate that we have lost our patriarch. Ms Kibor added, "We will issue a comprehensive statement later."
