Political leaders from Ukambani have revealed that there is anxiety across the region over Kalonzo Musyoka's presidential bid, with most residents wondering why the Wiper party leader is yet to hit the ground in popularizing his presidential bid.
The leaders argue that Kalonzo's silence is causing unnecessary tension among his supporters who feel left out or in darkness in strategizing on the 2022 presidential election.
Speaking with the Star on phone, Wambua dismissed allegations that Kalonzo is being courted by Raila, affirming that the only leaders Kalonzo will negotiate with for the sake of 2022 are only the OKA leaders, Musalia Mudavadi, Gideon Moi, Moses Wetangula and their allies.
Wambua told off political leaders criticizing Kalonzo's campign strategy, stating that every one should focus on their own way of wooing voters.
"The position of the community on a Kalonzo presidency has not changed and we are not aware of any courtship by Raila. I guess every presidential aspirant has a programme of action informed by a campaign strategy. We shall focus on ours and respect those other aspirants pursuing their own," he said.
