Azimio la Umoja running mate Hon Martha Karua on Wednesday continued with her Mt Kenya region tour to popularize Orange Democratic Movement party leader Hon Raila Odinga to residents ahead of the upcoming general elections.
However, it was not a ride in the park for the Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua and his Azimio la Umoja troops. They received a warm reception in some parts of Meru county and hostilities ground in other sections. They constantly faced pro-Ruto and UDA chants in different parts of Meru county.
According to the latest video that has gone viral on different social media platforms, CS Peter Munya, Karua, and Kobia were forced to watch helplessly as a section of the crowd in Kangeta market, in Igembe central burst into UDA songs and shouted Pro Ruto slogans.
Their efforts to calm the crowd were almost futile. They were forced to address the crowd as the chants continued. Karua was selected by the top Azimio la Umoja council to deliver a big chunk of Mt Kenya votes to Azimio la Umoja camp.
All attention will focus on her to see if she will succeed in taking Raila to State House on August 9th this year.
