The race for the country's high ranking seat has once again taken another major twist in Sunday morning. The race that had been reduced to a two-horse-race between the ODM party leader Raila Odinga and UDA party leader DP William Ruto by political analysts seems not to be so as Kalonzo's camp delivers major announcement.
Just a few days after the Wiper Democratic Movement party leader was reported to have made a return to Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Alliance, his party has now confirmed that the Former Vice President will be on the ballot in the upcoming general elections.
“The National Elections Board (NEB) wishes to confirm that we have complied with this requirement as we have ALREADY SUBMITTED the soft copy of our Candidate’s supporters in Excel format today, 28/5/22 which is well within the deadline set by IEBC of 29/5/22,” Wiper Party said in a statement.
Having been in the political arena for a quite a long time now, Kalonzo is capable of hugely impacting the direction of the polls based on the fact that his support base especially from Ukambani region is very strong.
