COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli has responded to a viral photo of him at the airport. The photo which has been making rounds online had been alleged to be of the leader fleeing the country.
Inba Friday, August 12 statement, the staunch Raila supporter dismissed the claims that he had left the country because of the political pressure associated with the presidential election results.
According to Atwoli, the viral Photo on social media was taken five years ago when he had travelled to Malaysia.
"Somebody using my old photo while arriving in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia five years ago," Atwoli said.
The photo showed Francis Atwoli holding a suitcase with people of Asian origin in the background.
Atwoli also responded to claims he is behind the ordering of all media stations to stop the tallying of presidential results. He dismissed the claims insisting that he has no authority and power over Kenyan media houses.
