Mwaura, who switched from ODM to Jubilee in 2016, said Ruto has shown courage by standing with President Uhuru Kenyatta in 2017 to create the Jubilee government.
"We are fortunate to have William Samoei Ruto, our movement's leader, who ascended from a chicken seller to become our country's Deputy President. When he was promoted to Second in Command, he watched other people rise to the same level, and he had the bravery to show them how."
"Your Excellency, we are grateful that after you lighted your candle, you allowed us to light our candles and believe in ourselves from a better country and a better future," he continued.
While referring to other presidential candidates as "pretenders," Mwaura stated that Ruto is the only person most prepared to protect Uhuru's legacy because he was a member of the Big Four Agenda.
Raila's offer of a Sh 6,000 monthly stipend to unemployed youngsters was criticized by Mwaura as unrealistic.
