Just recently, it was all smiles as Chief Justice Martha Koome met with President William Ruto. They promised to work together and solve all the differences that used to be there between the Judiciary and the Executive during the tenure of former President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Well, as things seem to be, CJ Martha Koome didn't mean that the Executive can do anything wrong and go away with it. That is because today, Kenyans were left surprised after they woke up to news that President William Ruto was left disappointed after CJ Martha Koome's Court made a harsh ruling.
According to the Daily Nation, Ruto's government suffered a setback after Labour Court stopped Parliament from vetting the 51 Principal Secretary nominees. That ruling comes after LSK sued over the legality of the list compiled by the PSC. They LSK talked about things like regional balance, gender and other things that they felt were not met.
