Alice Yano Explains How She Would Handle President Uhuru if Appointed Chief Justice

The search for Kenya's next president of the supreme court knocks day ten today with Alice Yano on the hot seat trying to convince the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) that she is fit for the job.

Alice Yano who is also a lawyer and the youngest candidate to apply for the chief justice position explains that she is qualified for the task despite her age. She is 53 years old.

She explained to the bench on how he would deal with president Uhuru Kenyatta if appointed the next Chief Justice.

According to her, she would call the first lady Margaret Kenyatta to serve her a cup tea and would be able to study the president's mood from that point.

"If I am a lady Chief Justice, I will call mama Margaret to serve me a cup of tea to get to know the mood of mzee and meet mzee with the members of the commission," Alice Yano.

She was responding to a question raised by justice David Majanja on how she intends to address the issue of swearing in of 41 judges.
