Former Kisii Governor Ongwae Urges Raila to Give President Ruto Time to Deliver on Campaign Promises

Former Kisii Governor James Ongwae has called on Azimio leader Raila Odinga to give President William Ruto time to execute the pledges he made to the electorate. Ongwae argues that six months in office is still a short period for Raila to reach a verdict that Ruto has failed.

Ongwae's call for patience and dialogue is important in a time when political tensions are high in Kenya. The country has experienced a series of divisive elections in recent years and banditry attacks in the North Rift Region including high cost of living.

Odinga announced his final rally on 20th March 2022 to his followers on what to do on the issue of mass action. This is coming in at a time when his 14-day ultimatum to Ruto came to an end without any response from Dr William Ruto.
