Deputy President William Samoei Ruto is currently in the Ukambani region meeting local business people in a bid of empowering them through his Hustler Nation empowerment Assembly, just hours after he departed the coastal region where he stayed for three good days commissioning different government projects, drumming up more support for his August 2022 general election as well as popularizing his newly born United Democratic Alliance party.
The second in command and the United Democratic Alliance party leader left residents who turned up for the hustlers' empowerment in stitches after he alleged that he is not in Ukambani for any political activity but rather for a business purpose.
Upon landing in Ukambani, the second in command received a wild reception after he pulled a mammoth crowd after hundred of residents turned up for an occasion hosted by local leaders allied to DP Ruto's United Democratic Alliance party in the region among other top leaders from the region.
The tour comes as the current political climate in the region is heated with political bigwigs already parading their campaigns across the country with ODM leader Raila Odinga and President Uhuru Kenyatta are currently on the coast region.
